NACHANANDAL VILLAGE, TIRUVANNAMALAI, TAMILNADU

Located 12 km south of the district headquarters Thiruvannamalai, Nachanandal is a small village in the Tiruvannamalai District of Tamil Nadu State, India. It is under the Nachianandal Panchayath
and has a population of over 2000. The village is primarily agrarian and has a government school up to the eighth standard. 

NRF has implemented the first phase of the village water restoration plant to double water availability for farming and related activities. This has significantly increased the water availability during non-monsoon months. This will help improve the groundwater situation of the whole village. Once the remaining phases are completed, it will help them do an extra crop/season of farming every year.
